Fatal Crash South of Dinuba — Feb 10, 2017

A two-vehicle car accident southwest of Dinuba killed one person on February 10th. Sixty-year-old Candelario Soto and two passengers were driving his 2000 Hyundai Tiburon northbound on Road 74 near Highway 201 when he crossed paths with fifty-three-year-old Jim Followill, of Dinuba, who had come eastbound in his 2019 Sonata. The momentum of the crash spun Soto’s car in a half circle and pushed it into an electric pole where he succumbed to his injuries and died. His two passengers, Mary Soto, 59, and a 15-year-old girl from Cutler received major injuries and were taken to an area hospital. Followill suffered minor injuries.
