Emeryville Police Chase Ends in Five Car Crash — Oct 6, 2016

A police chase that started in Oakland ended in Emeryville when it crashed into four other cars. The crash, which caused only minor injuries, occurred near Highway 80, according to California Highway Patrol. The chase started when officers received a report of a person with a weapon and gave chase. The driver ran from police through Oakland and into Emeryville before the driver left the freeway and wrecked at Powell Street. Two of the vehicles' occupants were then transported to area hospitals. A third fled on foot. The collision included five cars and caused a temporary road closure at the Powell Street off ramp.
