A motorcyclist killed Thursday after crashing head-on into a county dump truck on Lucas Valley Road was identified as a 33-year-old Emeryville man.
Assistant Chief Deputy Coroner Keith Boyd identified the victim as Daniel Mark Neil II.
Neil was employed at Telltale Games, a video game company in San Rafael.
The crash occurred at about 12:15 p.m. Thursday just east of Big Rock in San Rafael, where a group of three motorcyclists was heading west on the sharply curving road, the California Highway Patrol said.
Neil, the last motorcyclist in the group, drifted over the double-yellow line and into the path of the oncoming truck, according to a preliminary investigation. The truck driver tried to brake, but the motorcycle was crushed.
