El Dorado County Crash Kills Motorcyclist — Oct 24, 2017
Steven Marcki, 62-years-old, of Placerville was riding his motorcycle in El Dorado County when he crossed over into oncoming traffic and was killed. He was traveling along Pleasant Valley Road eastbound close to Karl Drive in Diamond Springs. It was approximately 12:30 p.m. when he crossed over into oncoming traffic in an attempt to pass the car in front of him. He drove directly into the path of Kristin Selmyhr, 36-years-old, of Somerset, headed westbound in her 2007 Kia. She attempted to swerve but could not avoid the motorcycle. Marcki was pronounced dead at the scene.
