DUI Driver Kills Corcoran Family in Crash — Mar 31, 2017

Approximately 8:30 p.m. on March 27th California Highway Patrol received reports of a bad car wreck at Highway 43 in Hanford on Idaho Avenue. When officers arrived, they found three people dead on the scene; Alphonso Wimbley, 55, Kristin Wimbley, 44, and Kyan Wimbley, 13, all of Corcoran. Reports indicate Adalberto Lara Carrillo, 42-years-old, of Tulare, ran a stop sign while intoxicated in his 1992 Chevy Silverado. He crashed into the Wimbley’s 2015 Chevy Equinox killing Alphonso and Kyan instantly. Kristin had major injuries and was transported to a hospital where she later died. Police discovered Carrillo was driving on a suspended license since a January DUI 2016 conviction. He was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter of all three people. He could face three life sentences if convicted.
