Dublin Accident Closes I580 Lane — July 17, 2017

An accident between a big rig and a compact car backed up traffic for several miles on I 580 westbound in Dublin Tuesday. California Highway Patrol issued a sig alert at 6:12 a.m. although there were no injuries. The crash, which occurred at 5:30 a.m., was just west of San Ramon Road. Traffic was backed up for more than 10 miles from the I580 and I680 junction to the Altamont Pass just east of Livermore. The sig alert was lifted at approximately 7:40 a.m. but traffic remained clogged om Highway 84, I580 and many of the side roads.
