Driver Causes Havoc in Yuba City — July 19, 2017

A man reported to be driving a stolen Cal Trans van caused a crash that turned out to be no ordinary accident. After the stolen van hit an SUV a good samaritan stepped out of his car to help its injured driver. It was then that the carjacker, identified as 24 year-old Klinton Harlan, stole his car while the man was helping the driver of the SUV. The carjacking victim claimed his mother was inside the vehicle at the time, but authorities report she managed to get out of the vehicle after struggling with the carjacker. Authorities arrested Harlan at another crash at State Route 20 and Tharp, in which he got badly injured.
