Crash Kills Two Young Men, Injures One — May 3, 2017

19-year old Aaron Beasley and 20-year old Austin Wagenleitner, both of Clovis, have been killed in an accident near Prather. The surviving victim, 24-year old Jason Kirby, was airlifted to the hospital and was last reported in fair condition. Police observed the Chevy truck belonging to Wagenleitner wrecked off Highway 168, laying 600 feet below. Beasley and Wagenleitner were both thrown from the car. Kirby had been stranded for at least 12 hours. Police are still investigating the accident. There has been no word if they were travelling up or down the mountain or whether drugs or alcohol played a part. The families reported the boys had been missing since Monday evening.
