Couple From Ceres Killed in Crash With Modesto Train — July 29, 2017

A man and woman from Ceres, both 37-years-old, were killed Saturday when their 2004 Chevy struck a train in Modesto. The collision occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. close to Keyes Road and Sante Fe Avenue. The couple had been heading south on Santa Fe Avenue when they turned onto Keyes Road and maneuvered around an activated railroad crossing arm. No other details were released but alcohol does appear to have been a factor.
