Citrus Heights Accident Kills Woman, September 26, 2016

A woman was killed Monday evening after being hit by a car in Citrus Heights on the 6500 block of Coyle Avenue. California Highway Patrol responded at approximately 7:30 p.m. Witnesses reported the woman stepped out in front of a moving Lexus and was struck down.  The driver stopped and stayed the scene as the woman was transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Center. She was later pronounced dead from her injuries. No names have been released yet. Investigations are still underway.
