CHP Patrol Crashes Into Stolen Car in Modesto, Driver Flees -- Jan 9, 2018

A home surveillance camera registered an accident between a CHP patrol car and a stolen Honda Civic in Modesto. It all happened at the crossing between Tuolumne Boulevard and Leon Avenue. The video shows the patrol car hitting an Honda Civic in the rear, which then spins out of control for a moment but quickly flees the scene after the driver regained control. A few moments later the footage shows the CHP car turning around in pursuit of the stolen Honda. There were no injuries resulting from the crash, and only the Honda sustained damage on the front. At the moment of this report, nor the Honda or the driver had been found.
