Chico Head-on Crash on Highway 99 Kills Two — Nov 3, 2016

A four-car crash in Chico killed two people on November 3rd. A man driving a white Saturn on Highway 99 northbound crossed over the road lanes and sideswiped an Acura coming from the opposite direction. The Saturn returned to its lane momentarily before once again crossing traffic to collide with a Chevy Sonic head-on in the southbound lanes. The Chevy then spun out and hit a Subaru SUV. Those who died were the 32-year-old Eureka man, Justin Rich, driving the Saturn and the 55-year-old Chico man, David Kahl, driving the Chevrolet. They both died on the scene. Both men were alone in the vehicles. No one else was hurt.
