Castro Valley Crash Kills Hayward Man -- Dec 11, 2017

A Hayward man was killed after his vehicle crashed into a PG&E utility pole Saturday morning in Castro Valley, according to a California Highway Patrol officer. California Highway Patrol officers responded at approximately 1:20 a.m. to reports of a solo car crash on Crow Canyon Road, south of Norris Canyon Road. Investigators found a blue 1993 Mazda Miata crashed into a power pole with the driver unresponsive and suffering from severe injuries. Emergency rescue crews transported the driver to the medical center, where he later died. The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau identified him as William Parker, 39-year-old. Investigators and police have not yet determined what caused the crash or whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
