Car Flips Off Dumbarton Bridge Kills One — Mar 31, 2017

A man flipped over the guardrail of Dumbarton Bridge while trying to pass a tractor-trailer. He rolled down the embankment and died on the scene. It was approximately 11:45 a.m. The man was traveling in a 2003 Hyundai in the direction of Palo Alto when he picked up speed in preparation to pass the truck. He barely missed the center barrier and sharply over-corrected to get back in lane. Turning quickly and sharply sent him into the guardrail and down the embankment. No other injuries were reported.
