Byron Highway Three Car Crash Kills One — May 23, 2017

A man from Modesto, 58-years-old, died Monday when he slammed into another car head-on. The accident happened on Byron Highway at approximately 6:30 p.m. Three vehicles went flying off the roadway after witnesses said the 58-year-old driver was speeding and weaving through traffic. It was near Bruns Road where he crossed over to the northbound lane in his Pontiac sedan and hit a Chevy Impala head-on. It was driven by a 45-year-old female Brentwood resident. A Toyota Camry driven by a 25-year-old man swerved to avoid the wreckage but was thrown off road where he hit a utility pole and then a concrete culvert.
