Bomb Discovered After Hit and Run Crash in Sacramento — Dec 17, 2016

A hit and run accident in Sacramento resulted in a live pipe bomb falling from a fleeing vehicle. The police immediately began searching for the absconder, described as a white with blue stripes, camper-style, Chevy van with attached ladders. According to police, besides the pipe bomb, syringes, power tools, fishnet stockings and camo clothing were also left behind. Authorities closed 65th Street between Broadway and 4th Avenue for over two hours as the bomb squad defused the pipe bomb. Businesses in the area were also evacuated. No one was injured.
