Big Sur Car Crash Injures Turkey Vulture- August 15, 2016

California Highway Patrol first reported an endangered species injured in the Big Sur crash that happened on Highway 1. Soon biologist arrived and determined it was only a turkey vulture, which are not a protected species. Investigators determined a solo vehicle travelling north on the highway hit the vulture at approximately 4 p.m. No injuries to the driver were reported.
