Big Rig Crash Slows Sacramento Traffic — Feb 17, 2017

Wet roads contributed to congested traffic Thursday morning. A big rig crashed northbound on I5 close to J Street. The crash occurred near 5 a.m. and resulted in one of the truck's trailers turning over on its side in the roadway. Traffic did no clear until approximately 7:45. Mandatory truck screening for appropriate chains began around 11 a.m. at Applegate and Truckee.
