Big-Rig and SUV Collide and One Airlifted to Hospital Near Placerville, CA

Just west of Placerville in October of 2015, a woman driving an Audi crossed the median into the westbound lane hitting a Jeep head-on and then was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer. The truck driver was not injured. The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries. The woman driving the Audi was air-flighted to an area hospital. Westbound Highway 50 was closed for hours. California Highway patrol are still investigating the accident and why the woman crossed the lane.
