An Elderly Woman is Killed by a Bus at Crosswalk in Fremont, CA

Walking along Freemont Boulevard and Sundale Drive, a 77-year-old women, Nazisa Nazar, was hit and killed by a bus. Police initially received calls of a hit and run. As the woman crossed Freemont Boulevard at the intersection crosswalk. The bus driver, 43, was sitting at the red light and accelerated as it turned green, apparently not seeing the woman crossing the road in front of him. Police found the bus driver, who fully cooperated. No drugs or alcohol are suspected. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
