Auto Accident NewsPolice Chase Ends in Crash; Two Arrested in Moraga, CA

MORAGA -- A man and teenager were arrested Sunday night after allegedly leading police on a chase in a stolen car that eventually crashed into another vehicle.

The driver in the reportedly stolen car, 19-year-old Jose Zacarias, of Concord, and his 16-year-old male passenger were both hospitalized at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with minor injuries, Moraga police Lt. Jon King said.

They were arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, evading police and probation violations, King said.

A man driving the other car was not injured in the crash. His son, a passenger in the vehicle, was hospitalized with minor injuries and is expected to be OK.
