Alameda Police Officer Injured in Dangerous Wreck

In late September of 2015, a car crash injured an Alameda County deputy. Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening. The deputy was responding to the call of an accident and driving northbound on Liberty Street and approaching 167th Street in Ashland. Driving a few feet in front of the deputy, a 27-year-old male, driving a 2009 Honda CRV. As he turned left onto 167th Avenue, the deputy's patrol car collided with the Honda. The deputy was taken to the hospital for minor injuries but the Honda driver was unharmed.
