Accident Injures Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputy — Jan 3, 2017

At approximately 4:30 p.m. a Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputy was traveling west on Highway 180 on January 3rd when he failed to see the Ford 350 utility truck ahead turning onto Chateau Fresno Avenue. He hit the rear end of the truck, causing significant damage to his patrol car as well as the truck. The deputy was pinned inside the car, requiring the Jaws of Life to be freed. He sustained major injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck had only minor injuries. There were no other victims.
