33-Year-Old Cyclist Dies in Richmond Head-on Crash — Nov 8, 2016

Two cyclists are dead and one other is dead after being hit by a car head-on in east Richmond last Sunday. The crash occurred at about 10 a.m. in the 23000 block of River Road near where it meets with Westminster Highway. The three bikers were traveling east in a group of six were stuck by a 2013 Lexus head-on. Brad Dean, a Vancouver native, was killed at the scene. Two others are being treated for a serious injury. All six bikers were men riding in a single file line. They are part of a group called Just Giver 4 PD Cycling Club. They raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease. The driver was a 19-year-old man, Burnaby native. He sustained no injuries and was cooperative.
