Suspected DUI Driver Kills Passenger in I80 Crash — Jan 30, 2017

Late Sunday night, two women were involved in a deadly crash on I80 in Richmond. The passenger died. The driver is suspected of DUI. The crash involved only their car and occurred in the westbound direction at the Cutting Boulevard exit. The 2003 Lexus sedan they were in landed on its roof. The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to a hospital but died shortly after. Her name has not yet been released. The 21-year-old driver was identified as Lexus Taylor, a resident of Richmond. She remains in stable condition with major injuries. She is believed to have been under the influence.
